Couldn't the sentence in page 10 also mean "because Saki likes them"? It makes more sense in context, and also explains why Kanon rushes to clarify the ambiguity in the sentence.
I mean, as much as I want to see them gay it up, Kanon still isn't quite aware of what she feels, and "because I like Saki" doesn't really fit...

"Because Saki likes them" is certainly what Kanon meant, but "because I like Saki" is what Ayano heard. Kanon rushes to clarify because she realizes how Ayano took it, so I do think it makes more sense to put that in the speech bubble (and I can't think of decent a way to say it ambiguously in English).

Kanon's mom calling out Saki's dark ways wasn't on my bingo card.

Ayano going from "that annoying rival character yuri manga can't stop themselves from including" to "best wingwoman" is the kind of development we all want to see. And yeah, she definitely knows too.

Yep, but it also looks like that outlook and interpretation surprised her coming from Saki. Which makes sense when Saki has almost always been really bright and outgoing at their place, and appears to be so optimistic, extroverted, and just plain nice in general that she could bypass Kanon's barriers. So, that image really jars with the kind of mental place someone would need to be to see the song the way she did at first glance. Which is yet another example of things being very different below the surface than Saki lets on.

And yes, Ayano is definitely showing signs to becoming a lifelong friend to both of them. Love her just sitting back as she listens to the two totally not flirt.
