M8, the point of the manga is that he cares a lot about the NPCs, even if they are not real people. They act in such a disturbingly human way that he can't help but feel attached to them.

WN later reveals Gams and the others are real people of an isekai world. He's unknowingly been playing god all this time, as was intended by the actual godly developers.

@Talith : If this follows the WN, then
MC decide to hold back and watch.

Garm win against the monsters, but was injured and seem to be suffering from poison.

MC noticed the time and made his choice.
He spent Fate Point to make a traveling merchant (or medicine peddler, forgot) appear, and at the same time also give the oracle to tell the villagers that the merchant appeared via his miracle.

The merchant's POV was that his family has been traveling sort since olden time, and at that moment he saw a pillar of light and felt compelled to go to it.

After treating the brother, when they discuss where to stay the merchant also point out there's a nearby abandoned mine they can use for shelter, which bring us to the cave we see in the opening chapt

God I hate idiot mcs. Basic reading comprehension. See the word poison at the end of the monster blurb. Take a fucking hint.

So how is he supposed to manage this other world and presumably improve his own life if everything is real time? I knew it going in, but being on call 24/7 with the lives of an entire world in the balance would make it near impossible to also make amends with his family and square his waking life.
