Qanon is basically a fringe minority that people use as a boogie man to paint everyone who doesn’t believe in the Mainstream Media’s bullshit.

It’s their way of saying that you’re an unhinged conspiracy theorist who can’t be reasoned with and is therefore harmful to society.

This often blows up in their faces when their narratives inevitably fracture from the house of cards they built and it only seems like one side cares about the truth.

i agree, on the left fringe conspiracy theories are so accepted that they feel no shame and no political blowback from fellow political members for agreeing with absurdities like "the president is a russian asset", "jessie smollet is a victim of a hate crime", The Steele report's various claims most noteably the 'pee tape', etc so the right decided an appropriate term for such people would be 'blue-anon' an amusing turn around of what we are being accused of being and google and urban dictionary for a little while banned the term

i do have one little nit-pick however, i think it would be better to call them the 'legacy media' instead of mainstream media. to better emphasize that they are a dying medium and what they believe is anything but 'mainstream'

Your efforts to argue for the minimum wage increase are fine and dandy but I'd like to warn you of the possible futility of it, given who you're responding to. The first is barely able to parrot old tired Reaganomics talking points nearly four decades late; he'll ramble all day about "the damn gob'mint takin our jobs" without the first idea about macroeconomics. Any attempt to present him with sources and academic publications will prove fruitless, as his golden compass to knowledge is "If I agree with it, it's true", shamelessly countering your peer-reviewed articles with garbage-tier rants from investing-easy.com.
The second, even more annoying than the proverbial pretentious sophomore, is a literal college freshman whose one in three sentences start with "Taoïsm taught me ...", followed by some trite rant, as if the rest of us actually gave a flying f*ck about his newfound taoist enlightenment. Though I don't think this really counters my arguments, especially because I didn't reference Taoism in my minimum wage argument, more so that I based it in economic arguments, though I would argue both the Neoclassical School and the Behavioral Schools of Economics would coincide with a lot of Taoist principles about balance and non-control.
