I understand your concern about inflation and economic instability but I feel like that ship sailed when we abandoned the gold standard.
Currently our currency is backed by some weird math that ends with the government saying "We're good for it" rather than being tied to any particular commodity.
Fundamentally I'd argue Bitcoin has a more stable backing than the US Dollar.
As far as economic collapse, if $GME winds up above the short line it's probably going to happen, though that's largely because the major firms shorting $GME decided to do the same shit that helped caused 2008.
