dumb question but what was the thing she was reaching for when she died? I couldn't figure out what it was... does it have any significance?

@Marchimarch
The duchess with an empty soul (her fiancé makes her poison her body with magic and throws her away to die. She awakens a year prior and begins to create a new path for herself)

While not male lead killing but similar story type:
The villaness reverses the hour glass (girl is killed by her sister and returns to childhood)
Priscilla's marriage request (she uses magic to send herself back in time to get everything that was stolen from her when her step-mother forced her to marry a count)
Beware the brothers (girl on her wedding night, the happiest night of her life, wakes up as a small child adopted into a noble household and has to go through the process of befriending her brothers again while attempting to prevent the repeated murder of her adoptive parents)

Step-mother's marchen (shuli was married to a widower at 14 and he died when she was 16 having to raise his 4 children from his first marriage. However they didn't get along since she herself was. Basically a child as well. Now that the oldest child is getting married and inheriting the house title it's time her to step out. But her carriage crashes and she wakes up the day of her husband's funeral and she gets to do it all over again)

Abandoned empress is a gem!! Enjoy it!

@Kidayuki I've read all these and their premises are way too different for me to consider them the same. Thanks anyway! They're all good.

@Asklinda_ At the very least she isn't in love yet(I don't think). Right now, she is seeing his pitiful side and was touched with the way he said he'd devote everything to her. Also, as others have noted, he gave her a chance in her previous life but she refused.

Eh, I get that there's some complicated thing that i can't really understand why she wants him by her side (I'm dumb, sorry) but i think the execution of the story would be better if she didn't immediately appoint her as her aide the very same day she first met him. The story would flow nicer in my opinion. It feels too rushed or idk if that's just me.

@imtaciturn well... if she didn't stop him this time, there a change she won't meet him again.
I think it's better choice, as he in this time is at worst time of him life(maybe). It's make FL is his savior or something.

@Marchimarch theres also that one where she was ignorant of the shit her family did, and her boyfriend was a mole and he ended up ordering her execution coz everyone believed she was trash too, but she reincarnates and meets him again, but for the life of me i cant remember the name of it...sorry

She didn't deserve to die like that, she was pitiful to be treated such and stupid to not take duties more seriously, but to die like that? Nah, that's fucked up.

So would you kill baby Hitler ?
Apparently the princess is in the reform him camp. I can see that as valid, but falling for him? Not so much.

@TheGodEmperor naiveness and ignorance is one thing but this girl fully knew what her husband did and blind by love decided to support his tyrannical acts. If even day to day citizens are protesting and joining I don’t think it was a simple matter. Her acts may have not deserved death but they don’t deserve any pity either. She fully knew the corruption and did not even try to stop it. She’s basically a bystander but bystanders are as guilty as the person causing the problems. Also they are trying to take over the kingdom im sure to them one more death doesn’t make a difference. She was a bother and a obstacle In their path to convict the tyrant so I understand why they wouldn’t want to deal with her.

@shygirlthat my understanding was she ignored her duties to the point she didn't fully know what he had done when it comes to the way he treated the kingdom. But she was more aware that her husband didn't feel the same way she did about him.

Also, no, I would not say a bystander is as guilty as the person who caused it. That's unfair burden on the person. Now, I would say she's responsible because she's in a position of power where she can make a difference, but "being a bystander" is not a sin on its own nor would I expect just every bystander to do something about an issue that might come up.

Still, I don't think killing her is a right in this case. Especially since they know she's also somewhat a victim of her husband being a shit too. There was also zero reason then and there. Locked up should have been the way for her. It was more a murder of emotion it seems and anyone killing on emotion is wrong.
