Unless the Crown Prince does something Publicly, Clearly, and Directly against the Kingdom or the Saint they have to move very carefully not to cause an open conflict. A conflict that would be detrimental to the people of the kingdom whether it was bloody or not.

The person who can swiftly end the princes influence is mc. Her influence is now on par with the kings at this point or rather the potential for her influence is at such a level. Imagine if mc decided to request from the king that the prince never be near her vicinity because of how he treated her, would be a very interesting development to say the least. I believe they were prepared to receive a request that could threaten the royalty but our mc is a cake, she just wants to live life peacefully.

Its nice to see a series where the political repercussions are actually taken into consideration, the only other Isekai series ive seen that does this Dukes Daughter.

And to a lesser Extent Dark Knight Story, where the hero manages to fuck up the political landscape of the entire world with his bullshit.

@boag i could do with less shitty nobles for once tho. like, i love reading isekai smartphone partly because of the near-complete lack of incompetent nobles. the concentration of competent nobles in that series is so much it's like it took the competence of 10 manga's worth of noble competency

Spoiler for those who are curious and want to know about idiot Crown Prince and his fate.

Long story short, Idiot Crown Prince has an argument with his fiance while attracting the eyes of servants and officials. Sei happens upon the scene. He claims the kingdom is using a fake "Saintess" and drumming up achievements to quell the people's worries. After noticing Sei, Sei tries to move the argument to a private room but Idiot Crown Prince doesn't like being ignored, tries to put his hand on her to get her attention. In their common sense, a man touching an unmarried woman is frowned on. Captain Hawk stops him. King shows up with Head Magician. They say Sei is the true Saintess, and her achievements speak for themselves. Also asks why Aira who was assumed to be the Saintess, has no achievements. Idiot Crown Prince and his entourage are placed under house arrest. Aira is placed in the care of the Second Prince. For the time being from the LN side of things, this dumb prince has not shown up again.

@boag well-written ones like the Archbishop in maoyuu are great antagonists tho. i'm fully aware of the hurdles of drawing a decent antagonist that isn't single-use or a sub-boss; i still have a lorepedia to finish, update, and upgrade due to how big and vague it is. and with work in the way, i haven't touched it since last year since i always get too tired and blanked out to just remember that it's there.

Everyone's talking about the situation with the first prince, but personally I'm more excited about the fact that we got to see the head magician's true personality here. I was never able to connect his physical description to his personality and I'm glad it's as entertaining as I thought it'd be.
Though so far we've just seen the tip of the iceberg, if I'm correct.

This is just one of the problems with a monarchy. Succession can go smoothly for hundreds of years, and then suddenly you have a bad heir who's about ready to start a civil war if things don't go well. If they pick the 2nd Prince, and there's still enough support for the 1st prince, such as by vassals that have already sworn oaths to him or have ongoing deals with him, then you're looking at the 2nd Prince having to squash rebellions for the next couple years, which is even better when you live in a world that has the constant threat of monsters popping up.

The only way to fix this is for the Prince's rep to fall even further on its own that any vassals wouldn't ally with him anyways (but this in turn harms the kingdom's legitimacy as a whole) or for the prince to have an unfortunate accident.
