I think there's a pacing issue with the manga (not blaming the scan group, I think it's an issue with the actual creator). It's way way too slow especially for a manga that gets released every now and then. If this had a chapter per week, I think it would've been okay but with its current release schedule it isn't going anywhere. I'm not dropping this because I don't think there's anything wrong with the plot and the character, but I would've been much more invested in this if it has a better pacing

I really want to see the upcoming scene:
When the stupid prince deny Sei as a saintess even though she gained so many achievements. The worst part was the baka ouji called her Fake Saintess! That time the 2nd knight order started worshipping her and so many people already believed she was the saintess. Becoming a the future King is so much difficult for him
@Akera93 The manga is following the original novel too closely. Not anyone's fault really, it's a very difficult thing to transfer a story from one medium to another. And there's a lot of pressure on the mangaka's to stick to the original. I've read this bit in the novel and it's like each paragraph gets a panel.
The pacing in a novel vs comic, especially when it comes to dialogues or moments of introspection, needs to be very different. Those can be long and detailed and take a whole chapter in a novel, because that's how you build the world and the emotions. But in a comic/manga a lot of the worldbuilding and emotion is visual or in the backgroud somehow, it's a lot of show don't tell and a lot of details can be omitted.
This whole "first time the saintess power manifests itself" is particularly difficult because it's important as an introduction to Sei's power, which is key to the story, but nothing happens in the end, so it's boring in visual format (if it had started in comic form it would have probably been linked in with some important event).
But honestly this manga doesn't do a great job with the change of format. I'm not blaming the mangaka, it takes experience in both formats to be able to adapt one into the other, and I suspect those who take these jobs are fairly inexperienced people looking to make a living and gain contacts and credibility until they get a break with their own story. Anyone with more experience would probably be creating their own story already. The time constrains are probably also insane.
If anything it's the editor that's at fault for lack of guidance, but they're overworked and because the novel was a success there's a guaranty that the comic will do fairly well too, even if they don't make the plot as tight as possible.
With that said, I think after she manifested the power the whole experimentation could have fit in 1-2 pages something like:
- pannel 1 "we tried experimenting with the new plants" *Sei and others making potions*
- pannel 2 "it was super effective" *shinny potions*
- pannel 3 "but I couldn't figure out how to do it again" *bummed out Sei*
- pannel 4 "and in this way 9 months passed since I first came to this world" *Sei ecstaticly making too many potions and getting scolded*
move on to the start of the subjugation.

Hi @Kardelune ! Just wanted to say I loved how you summarized x pages into 4 panels hahaha! I love this story, but i’m also starting to feel it drags on and on when it could be summarized nicely as you’ve done. But oh well!

The gemstones you see in the last image can be enchanted with magic. The gift Sei got from Captain Hawk on their date is imbued with an ice spell enchantment. Sei enchanted one with All around increased magical resistance.
