That's a really fine art with human proportions and that's also a serious story with deep characters with flaws, traumas, etc. Gorgeous.

That's not an action story at all, that's about deeply wounded people who try to get through. It's obviously not a REVENGE story, MC isn't a killer even if he made to do it and revenge is described as the useless endless path. If you looking for shojo "I fall in love with the duke" or for an easy clear black-and-white action story then you should skip it instead of leaving stupid comments later. It's closer to a slice of life with a bunch of PTSD characters, honestly.

This manhwa is soooo good. I‘m swayed by the emotion, it‘s really heavy and i found myself tearing up several times. This is not a romance manhwa, this is like Crimson Karma or Emperor and the Female Knight. I enjoyed both of them and certainly enjoy this. Waiting to read more, thank you for scanlating this ;)

If this sticks the landing on various critical plot points in the future it'll be one of the best web comics I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

Ignore any comments by posters who are severely underaged and want a bread-and-butter revenge story. The narrative makes it very clear this isn't a black-and-white moral situation for those involved and you can safely discard the opinion of anyone who believes otherwise as they're missing one of the main themes of the story so far.

This is a slow burn that deals with trauma, hatred, and questions of who bears personal responsibility in war. Both MCs are grappling with an increasingly morally ambiguous situation from their own perspectives, and the FL in particular is being forced to confront her own role in a war that she was, from what we can tell, pretty much forced into from a very young age. It's punching way, way above its weight category in terms of subject matter and is so far doing a decent job of it.

If you'd like your standard shoujo webtoon affair(to be clear, I greatly enjoy these too) where both leads are objectively, unquestionably good people this story won't be for you. If you want to read something where the romance is(so far) a secondary focus compared to character development and self-reflection from the cast then I'd highly recommend this as of chapter 32. Like any story it could derail and turn awful later, but so far so good.

OK this is a painful story, i feel so powerless when reading this.
Great storywriting, the characters is actually live(while slowly dying inside) and they have a realistic persona like a real people and i mean it. Facing with a great crisis of their own, they try what they can to overcome it.
The story tells that everyone has their own problem and reason, the world is not revolving around a person.

Ah it's pretty cruel story, i feel like the old scar in my heart opened up even though i don't really have it in the beginning.
Great life lesson though.

Man, I'm enjoying this, but good god the Imperfect TL is an exercise in suffering.

It's actually kind of amazing how you can see it steadily get worse as it goes. And it's not like the ManhwaFreak ones are much better.

Shame there's no middle ground between "stop reading a good story" and "cope with a bad group." I'm usually fairly understanding but this is just absurd.

The official TL is free up until like chapter 110ish so I just read that one.

This manhua is absolutely phenomenal so far (I'm currently caught up with the latest official release, chapter 141). The characters are all well developed and three dimensional, so their conflicts feel natural. You don't have to like every character but you'll definitely understand where they're coming from.

A few people in this thread are making their own assumptions about how the plot will progress, and trash talking the hypothetical version of the story that exists only in their mind. Don't pay attention to those people, this is not a generic, saccharine love story where the couple easily overcomes all their trials and tribulations with the power of love.

one person in particular assumed the ML would figure out the identity of the FL and immediately forgive her because he loves her. This is not the case. When he finds out, it drives a MASSIVE wedge in their relationship, and it's very clear that they won't be able to easily go back to the way they were.

Honestly, the romance kinda takes a backseat to all the scheming and character development. The only criticism I can put against the writing is that it uses a lot of extended flashbacks. I know a lot of people hate flashbacks, but I personally think they're well done here, and I always felt invested while reading through them.

Also the FL was literally a child soldier, why are people acting like she's some kinda horrible sadistic monster. This story doesn't glorify war or imperialism, don't worry.

It handles themes like trauma, revenge, war, and bigotry with a very surprising level of maturity, especially when compared to most manhuas. I honestly cannot recommend it enough, I'm having a fantastic time reading this.

The super long flashbacks get frustrating, and the pacing is terrible, but it's pretty good overall. The author clearly tries to present a nuanced view of war, but it's hard to take that nuance seriously when the royalty of the empire are presented so cartoonishly evil. It's also weird to me how some of the characters acknowledge and understand that the war was essentially a land grab and that the empire is incredibly antagonistic towards the Northern country, but they never really reflect on that. 7/10 so far.

I actually think this manwha kinda sucks. clearly a lot of effort has been put into the art and the story but for me that all kinda falls apart when homie has to get cozy with the people that genocided his entire tribe. they even give so much effort into trying to humanize these people to get the reader to like them when they're all racist dickheads. even the "love interest" is the perfect example of this like this lady is straight up unlikeable and mc is just putting up with it like damn. where is your anger mf.
