All of the "good" things is by the power of hindsight. Nobody knows anything when the story starts. And you know what happened when you start helping people "for their own good". Also by "suffering for a foreseeable future", I mean the normal "grieving for passed loved one". That's gonna happen regard less of the story skipping over it or not.
If that somehow didn't happen then you have another psychopath in the story. Not really a good point to make.
The question was "what DID NOT happen?". Your argument was "it DID happen and it's a good thing". Kinda pointless if you ask me.

on the question about kaori being a psychopath, in chapter 32, she says in her diary:
"The bad feeling i got after finishing 'Girls' Lovers Suicide, might be right. - She saved me. And now, it's my turn to save her. - I want to make her live." (page 20)
on the same page:
"It's been fun, but this won't be enough. She'll just go back to being alone once i'm gone. - It can't be only me. I want her to get over her fear of people. Just need to create an opening."
and on page 21:
"Please don't let my existence be a curse on Shizuku."

(all of the "good" things is by the power of hindsight. nobody knows anything when the story starts.)
no, its clear from the start that kaori was trying to help shizuku.

(also by "suffering for a foreseeable future," i mean the normal "grieving for passed loved one.")
i misunderstood that. i wasn’t saying she wasn’t suffering; she was suffering, but in a different way. she had already accepted kaori's death and was following kaori’s will: for her to be happy.

(the question was "what did not happen?". your argument was "it did happen and it's a good thing." kinda pointless if you ask me.)
it isn’t a problem that those things happened. about the second and third points:

2nd ("she decided to drag an unrelated girl toward a pain and suffering end.")
she wasnt a random girl, kaori already knew shizuku and also knew about her suicidal intentions because of the novel.

3rd ("so she could write a letter saying she had a fun, fulfilling life and love the girl, too.")
she didnt do it all just to write a letter about how much fun she had. her diary shows she did it to save shizuku. look at what she wrote—kaori wanted to save her and help her live.

At the point I drop this thing (halfway through vol4, I think), neither the intention of saving her from offing herself or the diary was brought up in the story. After checking out ch1 again, no, she tried to involve well before she gets her hand on any novel.
Unless, you know. Stalker/psychopath/"for your own good" thing.
Let be real here, one hit wonder from a "tragic" author (if it get published) would be indefinitely more famous than endless slops from the same author.
So psychopathic "for your own good" strikes again denying booklovers everywhere another classic. All because some random psycho wants to "save" people.
That was a joke. Just in case. You never know these days.

I'm dead on the inside after finishing this. Still, if your heart can take it, i'd still recommend it, 9/10.

It's 2:20 AM, I'm crying, my eyes are swollen, and I'll be meeting my family today 😭 I picked this up because I can't sleep and hoped this'll help somehow. No, didn't help at all. Don't be like me, folks.
