Have you seen the end of round 1 yet? That sorta stuff happens but usually near the end of each round. I mean Cleopatra literally had the ability to twist anything she touches, that's why those random demons she kept meeting in the halls in the build up to round 3 were constantly being found decapitated. An upcoming fighter nearly gets completely bisected another has their heart removed. The gore is there the series merely isn't zany or cringe regarding it or has it occur in every chapter.
