Depends on where you live, I guess? When I travel to Vietnam, I think all the supermarkets I went to have people who put your groceries in plastic bags, after the cashier rings them up. Many, but not all, Vietnamese markets in CA have baggers working alongside cashiers.
True here in Indonesia it's common too

apparently some of things aren't that common as I thought.

for the first one I were in shock that people from other country they wipe with right hand. I thought until now it's common knowledge to use your left for done the duty 🗿
same wtf, i always wipe my ass with my left (even tho i'm right handed if that matters)

I'm going bold and reply to the first message, at home we used (cloth) napkins and my grandpa cloth handkerchiefs so we could wash them and reduce waste (though we also had paper ones), and since they were big we used both hands. When it comes to paper ones, just with the free hand, it didn't matter at all, but what shocked me even in my hometown was eating out with friends and some of them not only never washed their hands before or after but also ate without using paper napkins. The second common sense break came at uni when people used toilet paper as a handkerchief, some of them because they stole big rolls from the toilets. You see how crazy can it become without leaving your country, right? And since someone mentioned the bidet, also when I shared flat during uni years I was puzzled because even it they were functional people used them to store their washroom bags (from combs to colognes/aftershave or cosmetics).
Having said so, I quote an aforism from a wise man that says: "If common sense were actually common, everyone would end crazy".

I thought barefoot inside house is common

Apparently not?!!! Some Westerner prefer use shoe inside.
I've heard Americans do this pretty commonly. Any of the people I know here either wear slippers or just walk around in their socks. No way in hell someone is stomping around in my house with their shoes on.

That's so British when they do tourism in Spain!
Mom said I'm just a strange soul. Even she can't understand why I'm being like that. She raised me as a normal Indonesian.
But seriously.. It's warm and comfy to wear socks while sleeping naked 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly couldn't agree more, us sock sleepers have been disrespected too much, just get a nice pair of comfy socks under those soft covers while not wearing anything and let the bed covers embrace you like youre a caterpillar/butterfly in a cocoon, just make sure theyre thick enough lmao

Yikes. Some folks really don't like me wearing shoes inside my house. NO COOKIES FOR YOU ON MONDAY.

@BakedBanana and @Manko-sensei can have some, though. They're cool.

Cuz feets and hands can't sweat at all, even in the very hot weather, more like just cold as ice? That's why I prefer to wear socks. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
Sleeping naked is the best quality sleep ever!! But umm no, I don't use bed covers, just a thin soft covers is enough. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Being from a tropical country and not sweating sounds like a bless, I've never been fatty (except for a couple of years before hitting puberty) and yet I always end up feeling hot unless temperature drops below 10°C or even lower. I can't imagine living like those that oversweat and their hands are permanently soaked. And yes, Westerners like wearing street shoes/boots/etc. at home, even for long periods of time. I at least use only indoor shoes (extra comfy) or no shoes at all.
