It's probably not helping his self esteem that the mole had the confidence to confess to his crush outright instead of deciding to quit his job over hearing a conversation he overheard. Not condemning him or anything, but the strip is kind of implying that may be going on in his mind right now. It doesn't help that the croc may have serious mood swings hes obviously having trouble expressing and probably feel he can't Express. Are I'm just overthinking things from such a short entry
