It is not about whether logically her family would or would not qant her to be happy or would or would not be unhappy with the current situation. It is a very difficult mindset to break free from. Even in this chapter she admits it is wrong to feel this way; yet, she still does feel this way anyway. If it was easy enough to make someone overcome trauma and loss we would have no need for therapy or friendship. People are complex, and honestly makes it more realistic she is flawed and trapped in a headspace she herself does not

The part what I love the story, Hinako's realistic stuff.

I really hope this gets animated well because the story and the art is already 10/10... I'd wonder how much problematic it will be if they mess this up. This is my favorite Manga as well :/

I wanted this situation to unfold, surprisingly this time I have read this chapter and it made little impact on me... Though, I payed attention to the details, I loved it how they finally got to talk. Others are somehow speaking of how annoying Hinako gets but I agree with those who talk about realistic side of the story. Just love itself isn't enough to heal the person, well, time and patience are needed too I mean! Expecting from a severely traumatised person to suddenly grasp everything is invalidating. Hinako was able to change a bit in the first place because Shiori was able to catch her attention. If it were the other people, it would have not been so meaningful... Shiori motivated Hinako by offering her what she needs- in whatever form it looks. Thats the only thing that could move her, and there is a way for her to be saved. She just needs time. Miko and Shiori already have been showing a tremendous amount of patience and understanding. That's why even before Shiori appeared, Hinako had still been alive. I'm sure that step by step she will be dragged to the normal side again. It would be long and demanding, but for those who treasure Hinako - they feel responsible for her well-being, as her little community or family. And I have liked that friendly devotion ever since i began reading it

Well, at LEAST they both realized the "let's eat her" promise was silly. Was not the "I free you from your promise" that I wanted, but is close enough for now.
It was so amusing when Shiori brushed it off like a joke x) I became relieved she is not going to eat her

Nice progress. I'm still just waiting for the kid Shiori made immortal to arrive and see Hinako contrasted with her. Two characters with strong death urges who are trapped in this world by Shiori to greater or lesser extents meeting and seeing how they compare would be peak fiction.
Personally forgot that other character... but it's intriguing... perhaps the author will bring them back to the story for aome reason. Now this makes me a bit afraid. Hm... it should be this part of Hinako's development, when she overcame her past self and built new values or even foind confidence to live... It's not going to happen so soon, I think. I'd estimate ~20 chapters at least
