Well you know what they say
The enemy of my enemy is my friend

I also, would rather not, F- you

after reading the story so far, I wonder, as both Shiori and Miko are very powerful monsters and can do magic, why they didn't put magic to protect Hinako instead of always guarding her 24/7? or teaching Hinako about magic so she can protect herself? or is it because Hinako just a normal human so she can't learn magic? it's make more confusing if you accept Miko's claim that she has to protect other people on that land too, aside of just Hinako. should she always stay beside Hinako 24/7? or am I the only one who think about this too hard? 😵‍💫

I'm guessing magic requires discipline. Miko was defeated by a monk, wasn't she? And being a monk require discipline. Besides, I don't think humans can do youkai magic.
