Though I May Be a Villainess, I'll Show You I Can Obtain Happiness! - Vol. 11 Ch. 5 - Apparently, I was a National Treasure After Being Exiled!?

This was an excellent one. I love girls that are absolute messes, but one that would voluntarily crawl into a box to huddle up?

Peak.

The story could be expanded on, but I found it paced relatively well too.

For everyone asking how the factories worked if she was the only ones with the recipes: a common method in the past was that the components where produce in mass but the ratio and the addition of some ingredients was done only by the chief. It was especially effective when they were dealing with a lot of similar products (except the head, nobody knew which combined with which).

It was quite common for the dyes and perfume.

So, the components could just be brought to her room where she was doing the last steps (since we are dealing with luxury goods, like perfume, precious metals, ..., the amount wasn't that big)
(Btw, I am pretty sure the term should have been workshops and not factories since the overall technology level and the low amount produced don't suggest it was done by machine)
It's like the coca cola recipe only few people knows the real one.

I enjoyed this one, I like the odd characters like this who just so focused on their own thing. Unsure, if it could go further then this but maybe an omake of them enjoying this wilderness life could be cute.

'In exchange, I'll leave you an outlying part of our domain.'
'From now on, everything belongs to me and my daughter.'

Stepmom don't need to be smart, she have her signature. Stepmom legally owns everything.
No backings, no outstanding achievement, the one horse she hitched her cart to was literally banished to a distant land and her golden goose stripped of his title. With no wits about her, that signature might as well be chicken scratch. At this point, any nobles who'd backed her would be better off supporting the newly assigned crown prince and his business partner. Hell, they might even get a handsome bonus for taking her down a peg on behalf of said crown prince. The value of that signature depends solely on her being smart. She NEED to be smart, which as proven in the story, she isn't.

How disappointing. We didn't see the actual villainess a.k.a. the stepmother face the consequences of her actions. Instead, it's her daughter (who was probably only following her orders) and the prince (a total jerk, but otherwise completely uninvolved with the forced transfer of rights as well as the bad rumors surrounding MC) who got punished, like they're the ones behind everything.

I'd reckon it was the daughter who set the whole thing up and her mother followed along. She played the pitiful girl role in public, engagement entrapment, enticing the target, all her mom had to do is to go in for the strike and get the MC's signature. The mother strikes me more as the typical parasitic moocher whose only achievement was spreading her leg for some rich man and not a single thought behind her eyes. The prince's crime is being that gullible for someone at such a position of power

This one is nice but you cant think too hard about it. How did the factories run solely on her if she was a hikkikomori up until the party? Was there like a source substance she made that got used in their products? And its a bit strange that the stepmom just tossed her with that being the case… although i suppose they didn't look at production and assumed it was fine. Cute story though.
Might have been she worked on the basis or a major part of it and the rest was done at the factories! It's why it begs the question how her Evil Stepmother and Stepsister didn't know that factor! (Stepmom was SOOO quick to want to get rid of FMC she didn't realize she was the golden goose in which was the reason she HAD the money she used to abuse FMC in the first place (likely KICKING herself when it became clear she killed the Golden Goose for nothing, and those SERVANTS will quickly abandon HER when it's clear she can't pay them anymore! She made the relationship about money, so no shock that's what it remained

"Everything" is not a legal term. She owns whatever the contracts says she owns, and we don't know the precise terms of the contract. Plus, legally, such one sided contracts would not normally be considered valid since it would be assumed that some kind of coercion was involved in getting the signature. In any case, we know how the story ended, so clearly even if she would have still had ownership of the land and the secrets in the FL's head, she failed to take advantage of it to fix things.

I actually like this one. It felt like a good simple start to a bigger story, and it's done rather well.

I like it despite this not being any sort of a villainess story. Just about a girl wanting to live her best life inventing things behind the scenes.

People are calling her dumb and a pushover because she signed over all her assets to her stepmother. But they don't seem to realize the anxiety she has around people and socializing. All she needs to be happy is her little room and her ingredients/materials for her to make things. She doesn't feel the rage and thirst for vengeance the reader feels. Just like how the 1st Prince doesn't want/need the throne to be happy.

I like their dynamic, I think no other story where the heroine... well I was going to say willingly kidnapped, or hides in a box on her own volition but I can think of a few... otherwise a really charming portrayal of their story.
as for the recipes, MIL really underestimated the family she married into. back in the day and still prevalent today, people guard their business secrets. not to mention MC works with the ingredients intimately, she would be able to adjust the raw ingredients if there's discrepancies from external factors like humidity or drought. though I wonder if there is a patent system in this story(?)

Sorry for the wait, I kinda lost my drive for a few days.
With this, vol 11 is done! thank you so much.
Thank you for working on these. I see a lot of people dunking on the stories in the comments which could be demoralizing, but I appreciate it and I enjoy each story for its own peculiarities, (except maybe the one where they fly away on a dragon or whatever it was). So I hope your drive sticks around.

This is clearly written by a writer who thinks this makes a good plot:

"ahahha, my FL is SOOO unique. Shes perfect at everything besides socialising; to the point is creates plotholes. Thats a Perfect premise. All thats left is the unique last-second 'he was a prince' to make it perfect."

Please dont ever do this. Ever.
