There's not really any LMAO, though? The closest thing to it, I guess, would be the French Revolution, its aftermath, and the end of that period. It's not totally analagous, but they're being executed for being the heads of a group who... Execute people on the regular for false crimes (with the implication it's for extremely petty things or peoples' egos.) A rotten empire meeting its end.I kinda feel like going from "Oh no, it's so terrible that she will be executed" to "LMAO, they will all be executed" is kinda a weird moral lesson here.
It would be - in my indelicate way of putting it - a "Hate Fuck" of a manga. There's not really any LMAO, though? I honestly like it, although I disagree with the idea it would work well as a serialisation. Mainly because the whole "rotting empire" thing would likely come full front and center for at least a third of it.
The main difference is the Empire executes people for entertainment, even falsely accusing innocent people or just getting rid of people they don't like. The Kingdom is doing it to kill, I assume, war criminals and tyrants who killed their own innocent citizens.I kinda feel like going from "Oh no, it's so terrible that she will be executed" to "LMAO, they will all be executed" is kinda a weird moral lesson here.
The stupid prince at least was in the crowd. If there was a second chapter, I’m sure the stupid prince and his mobs would be there. And there. And a little over here… Quite the mess.I keep clicking curiously to see the stupid prince and his mobs but found nothing![]()
Unless I've misunderstood what you were saying, I think that rather than the Revolution as a whole, you mean the Reign of Terror. While it was a particularly bad example (look at the death tolls in Wikipedia's introductory paragraphs on it), it is sadly not unique — the phenomenon is referred to as state terrorism. There's not really any LMAO, though? I want to see the end of these stories. There's no wrap-up, and one more page to any of these stories would make them that much more epic.
I'm not even sure where the 'villainess' part comes in to play, when this is blatantly the prince cheating on the female lead. Beyond that, it's a very textbook fairy tale story, where even the memory of your actual prince is told in flashback. It doesn't do anything offensive, but between being too textbook and just not belonging in this collection, I dislike this one in general.I think it's also ... a common trope I dislike in these - it's a story where a 'princess' does little and gets swept off her feet by someone else solving the problem in the name of love. Sound familiar? Since that's probably one of the most common clichés around, so if you want to do that story, you have to do it very well.
