Back when Fushi was originally encased in steel, I thought the story might timeskip ahead to the modern era, but needless to say, this is also acceptable.

Man, this manga does not pull punches. It lulled me into a false sense of happiness with everyone returning to life, everyone reunited!

Then BAM!

Chopped in the throat with melancholy feels.

To be fair, I'm totally fine with this. It's giving me the sense of closure and the end of each character is explicitly determined. In fact, I yearn for this kind of storytelling. I don't really like open-ended ending or something like "and they live happily forever after, and blablabla". I want to know how the characters live the remaining of their lives. I want to know what kind of merits they had when they were living. That way, by the time they die, we know exactly how we should perceive them. We'd know if the good guys stay the good guys, or if the bad guys (provided they don't perish by the end of the story) want some change of pace.

I'd love to see more of this...

@greyhud90 it kinda makes some sense, by looking at the hair color compared to other character and clothing, making them similar to somewhat Japanese, that house and buildings too back then, it quite complicated to talk about it, and the fact that they can choose to stick with Fushi even in Next life , it make sense

It was really fucked up to murder march especially since they're not entirely certain fushi would become conscious again.

why 'die peacefully' equal to 'eutanized'?
where did spirit bear go? last time i know Spirit Bear died from spear/arrow thing stuck on his body. And every single time he resurrected with that pain. Does that mean he immediately death after his last ressurection?

So March and Eko attend school?
Gugu gets a facial reconstruction surgery?
New arc should have been a prequel

Man as much I'd like more arcs featuring the whole cast, knew Fushi would just self sacrifice yet again. Do like the conclusions for all the characters though, like the Six Feet Under finale—very fitting for this type of manga. Do you think we're gonna see the old cast reimagined in modern times, Fushi said he'd maybe revive them once all the Knockers are gone, but he might be too far gone to remember that he even said that., I really wonder what's going to be the premise for the new era, like what's going to be the conflict? Also who is that at the end? Was it a Hayase descendent?
