Like, it would have at least made SOME amount of sense if the cameraman had been brought up before, and this was a known task that was gonna be happening, and a couple of their coworkers were talking up how professional he is, so when he became a blackmailing scumbag it'd at least hold ANY AMOUNT OF WEIGHT when he threatens them with that "candid" pic. If anyone actually turns against these two over that photo it'd be hella stupid. And at the same time, if no one buys it, this entire plot point would be fucking pointless.

Honestly, it's a really simple fix here.
"This is my hunky personal trainer~ doesn't he look so good~? I'm taking it more seriously right now since that photoshoot is happening~~~" (tie in the previous one-off that got Sugawa to stretch for the first time in his life in with this camera guy)
One of the other girl can excitedly talk about how they're getting their hair done up for the photoshoot, and that this guy's been in the business for a few years, is professional and cool, and he even took the photos at Famous Event/Celebrity Wedding, kyaa kyaa!



I know it's much more of a me issue and not the manga's fault, but having things tie together and flow is just so much better than having random, self-contained plots stacked together. If you're building a brick house, you're not gonna have a random block of coal near the bottom left corner.
