this was a well written chapter which managed the near impossible task of making kenichi look like a human being rather than the piss-soaked plastic bag he normally is but also,, he cheated on satomi every day. his infidelity stripped her of her self-esteem and turned her into a nervous and isolated wreck. she very nearly begged him not to cheat and he still romantically pursued another woman while having sex with whoever knows how many more. we're given very little backstory while he does all this so there's nothing to indicate that he does what he does out of compulsion or due to an unfamiliarity with modern relationship norms. he knows what he's doing is wrong, he knows that it hurts his partner and he continues anyway. had satomi gone back to him we have no reason to believe he would've stopped cheating. honestly its a little scary to think about her staying in a relationship with a man who makes her unhappy literally every day until their deaths

Satomi gave him a chance to stop with the gum thing and he still didn't. I hope he learns the lesson.
