Momma gonna cheer up her man the only way she knows how. Gonna dress sexy, make him dinner, run a bath... and pummel the daylights outta him until he forgets he was ever feeling miserable.

I come back to this series after it picks up from Hiatus and what does the author do
"We'll they weren't actually dating yet!!"

Man, come the fuck on already. Ore Monogatari these two and lets get on with their super wholesome relationship
No more of this "but wait-!" type of nonsense

919 CHAPTERS?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? HOLY CRAP I did not expect that, this is gonna take YEARS to read
Edit: wait I just realized this is a 4koma so the chapters are probably 1 page long right?

Yeah, it's only 1 page chapters, so it would be only 45 normal chapters, it's not like Hajime no ippo with neverending story.

Anyway, i only read this for Misuzu.

Well, Tomo, if you're gonna act THAT way, then I guess the whole relationship thing is off. You're free, Jun - go be with someone who's worthy of your devotion and affection. Like that tree.

Fumita I swear to god if you dont get YOUR DAMN FOOT ON THAT GAS PEDAL AND MAKE THIS SERIES ABOUT THEIR ACTUAL RELATIONSHIP AND NOT THE PRELUDE, I'M GONNA FLY OUT TO JAPAN, TAKE OVER YOUR STUDIO SPACE AND DRAW THIS DAMN THING MYSELF. Not literally. Hyperbole. But still, Auughhh

@helpfulcomrade it’s not Tomo’s fault nor Jun’s fault. Tomo went out on a date, totally happy that her and Jun were finally in a relationship after all that time trying to get Jun to see her as a girl, only to find out that their relationship hadn’t actually started.

I wouldn’t say it’s Jun’s fault either since he’s just respecting her father’s rules. Jun was in a tough position because he wanted to date Tomo but couldn’t and didn’t want to hurt her by saying they weren’t dating.

So basically this is all the dad’s fault. He really shouldn’t have put his feelings first over his daughter’s.

Tomo's dad and Jun both need to not be massive dongers about this, especially her dad. He has no say in who his daughter dates, and he especially doesn't get to issue ultimatums. His feelings are irrelevant.
In Jun's case, he should respect Tomo's wishes over her dang dad's! If he wants her dad's blessing, sure, fine, that's okay. But going "well, your dad said this, so we can't date." It's her choice, not her dang dad's. Respect those wishes more!

I love this series so much, but goddamn the recent chapters have been terrible. I thought the author took a longass hiatus specifically so that the series could maintain a higher quality .

Yeah, this entire shit is primarily Dad's fault, and no jury in the world would convinct Tomo if she kicked the living shit out of him right now.

But Jun also has a share of blame here, for actually following dad's ridiculous rules and assuming that Of Course Tomo would want her dad to bless their union or whatever, instead of realizing that Tomo is entirely willing to ignore whatever her parents say here.

Basically, one is a jerk and the other is an idiot, and poor Tomo is caught in the middle.

It's hilarious how you people are completely unwilling to sympathize with Gorou and throw him under the bus. Gods forbid a father be concerned over his daughter's future and take steps to ensure she winds up with a suitable husband. They should just be left alone to attach themselves to any 'bad-boy' they come across, and eventually wind up in abusive relationships or get abandoned and their hearts broken in the process. BECAUSE THAT'S WORKED -SO WELL- IN THE MODERN WORLD THUS FAR.

I just want to be honest, I want to start on this manga but the number of chapter seems... overwhelming and it also keeps growing almost in an never-ending manner, so I wanna ask for some recommendations on this so I don't get burned out but also get into it.
