You can add all the labels you want, but a guy doesn't look like that.
This is basically the artist drawing a girl and putting the label of "Male" on them after drawing the face for the plot.
I kinda wish this had 2 chapters translated instead of 1.
Since the next chapter could go only a few ways.
It will either be from the friends point of view and it turns out he was a she, or it will take a Yaoi route.
Without the Yaoi tag It leaves too much in the open, thus making me question it too much, which in turn makes me enjoy it less.
At least if I knew what I was getting into I'd know enough to enjoy it.
Just cross-dressing tag could mean it's a girl cross-dressing as a guy just as much as a guy cross-dressing as a girl.
I mean the person even blushed when complimented by their male friend.
Which would be from embarrassment, which comes from either happiness or shyness.
Since they are so self confident in their looks and had the drive to even put on the dress, if they were a guy it couldn't be shyness, they would just go along with the compliments.
So that would be happiness.
No man would be happy to the point of embarrassment for being called cute by another man.
Not unless it was Yaoi.
So either Yaoi tag needs to be added to this manga, or a romance tag for it being a girl.
Rated 5/10 stars until I see what happens next since It confused me enough to not enjoy it fully.

I realize now that I tend to overthink stuff like this....Is that a bad thing..?

@ThatOneJester I've seen you once or twice with the same, so my best advice is to just block the crossdressing tag (once a year you might miss a girl crossdressing as boy but I doubt it's gonna be a masterpiece)

@ThatOneJester Yeah man, japanese authors do this thing a lot with the "Draw a girl, call it a boy". It's about as common as "Draw a little girl, call it a 9001 year old vampire/dragon/etc." and both of them are pretty off-putting.

Also it's not Yaoi but it definitely looks like it should be tagged Shounen Ai.

@MrMichael I dunno, seems pretty non-ai to me. The only thing that could be construed as ai'ish would be white hairs reaction to being called cute and aborting mission, although I instead interpret it as being one of those ppl who simply dislikes being called cute verbally, even if they think so themselves and are ok with it until someone else says it. The rest just seem like regular shenanigans one might do with a friend(s), I have done similar stuff myself.

Why should I block the cross-dressing tag?
I enjoy the content, I just prefer some proper context to enjoy myself.
When tags aren't added right and the things that happen don't clarify right I get confused which in turn causes agitation.
What I don't tend to enjoy is Shounen Ai, and Yaoi content normally.
I like it sometimes when It's done certain ways for the plot and art, but It only goes those ways so few times enough to be popular enough to be on a site like this that I have the tags blocked on here.
This is what caused my current negative comment.

I don't know if I would call it off putting, I do love the art style of this manga.
It reminds me of a few other manga I'm waiting for chapters for with the black&white coloring with It showing the bright colorful eyes for the protags.
I just don't enjoy the lack of proper tags and the whole "everything seems hinted at, but we'll keep you guessing" bit.
