It got 4000 followers in less than a day, probably helped by reddit a lot but still.
There's another one that was even more popular on reddit that got 4000 followers on the same day too, and was like less than 100 followers behind this to reach the front page.
Usually when you get insane numbers like that it's usually reddit that's behind most of the follower count.

Most manga are by far monthly though, so that's kind of a silly thing to complain about. And I'd rather take a proper manga over twitter shorts any day. It's not a long time ago that the front page had seven one-shots and twitter shorts on the front page.

You missed my point.
I don't care if manga is released monthly, weekly, biweekly, in a magazine, posted on a pivix, twitter or whatever.
What I care about is that, if you have whole month to create something and you don't have some kind of amazing plastic skills and your art is medicore at max, at least try to create story, that is engaging and isn't clear rip-off from one or two internationally known titles, saw together with dozen of clichés, like some kind of monstrosity of boredom, made by Frankenstein.

The story itself seems fine. Standard. Nothing really standout in a good or bad way for the start of a romcom, but good God those classmates are already insufferable. He just enrolled and they have assigned seats. Like wtf, back off. Also this is the first day of high school, how is everyone except him in their class (again randomly assigned) already in the "she's the most beautiful person in the school and thus we HAVE to determine who she can hang out with and treat her like a goddess which totally isn't creepy for random classmates she probably doesn't even know" cult? Did ever other character on screen already go to middle school together? Like even if they all know and like her as a famous person their age (I also don't get that because she's just a rich kid, not like an influencer or anything; she seems rather shy and reserved), why tf are they in unison like that? It's just so offputing.
