They went such extremes during their back and forth through out the story that even hoping for a normal interaction seems impossible. Dude acting like a middle school girl doesn't help either but she rejected his advances previously so it kinda understandable. Him being the maiden hearted girl in the dynamic is the running joke anyway.

First pages' back-and-forth makes no sense or the translation is fucked, but I guess no one will care.
I think there's indeed a slight issue between the last panel of page 1 (where Ikezawa refers to interpreting the author) and the first panel of page 2 (where Eguchi responds as if Ikezawa had talked about anything but interpreting the author). But by writing your feedback in such a rude way, you all but ensure that indeed no-one will care about it.

I'm sorry it took you my post to realize it and made you self-conscious about your reading comprehension level, that was clearly rude of me. Learning from my mistake, I will refrain from pointing out the absence of internal consistency in your reply. 🧑‍🦼

Argh! Again with this "what author meant by that?" bullshit?! No! The question is "what do you think it is about?"! The author is dead, so, unless they left a will (i.e. said themselves what it means), any logical interpretation is correct.

Literary studies. Not even once. They leave you with a PTSD and a lot of triggers.
Well, sometimes tasks like this get to ridiculous levels, but usually writing has more depth and nuance than the usual slop you read. You just wouldn't know

Thanks for the TL, they are so adorable together, don't dare trying to insert a wanna-be 3rd party love interest in here unless it's a cat or dog and they fight over who loves it more

Few chapters soon and we probably will be introduced to her male childhood friend. I can’t wait for the author to introduce him. I wanna see a love triangle In this series. The fmc will probably have lingering feelings for her childhood friend.

8 pages? Why arent more people talking about how the author is shipping half chapters as if it is the full thing?

Bud there are about 100 other series that pull that NTR-bait, it’s never well done and it’s always a slog. It always just makes the character in question feel indecisive and insincere. There’s dozens of better ways to push progress, not to mention we’re already getting good progress between the leads. You do not need a shitty third party in a rom com.

Calm down. It’s fiction. It’s not really ntr bait. Just makes things better. If it’s ntr bait I wouldn’t mind.

There has never been a single rom com that’s been improved by introducing a secondary love interest*. They exist to slow progress, take up page time, cause unnecessary drama and then ultimately either lose or cling around to be annoying forever. Anything they could contribute to the story can be better served by a friend, family member, side couple, or convenient rain storm.

No one has ever finished a manga and went “damn, I’m so glad that childhood crush showed up out of nowhere to make the FemC look like a wishy-washy bitch and soak up half a volume just to lose”

*after the initial premise has been established
