Rereader here. Since he can buy anything other than foodstuff now... I'm thinking he can buy recipe books as well, & all-purpose tools & more. He's a 'slow-cooking' hero but a lot more wholesome & has an all-encompassing ability, & suited to be as Support (who sits at the very back or behind-the-scene) rather than Offense or Defense, don't you think? He also did a great job analysing the first kingdom as manipulative & escaped while he was still vulnerable.

Heh. Check out olivine. Excellent, and pretty abundant mineral. Has really good heat retention, and can absorb lots of it.
Really good for tile stoves/masonry heaters, since you'll bring those up in temperature, and even after the fire's out, they'll keep radiating heat for a long time.
