@Solipsist dogs/wolves are omnivores, slimes can eat anything, dragons are probably also omnivores. True carnivores would probably still eat the grains but would not be healthy for them.
@rollingazn Yeah, but spider legs have no meat, they move by pressuring their internal fluids. I get that not every author needs to whip out a biology text book when writing fantasy but I kinda want them to say something like "the legs are filled with a jelly that when cooked gives the food a rich, umami flavour". Something other than land crab they alway default to.

imitation crab stick don't actually have a lot of crab in it if any. It's like stakable chips (ex: pringles chips can) in a way.
Freshly cooked crab meat is divine with mayo (but tis a pain to extract it from its shell.
Spider crab meat is even tastier than standard crab imo.
