I only started seeing them after the tl note early in the chapter lol.

I hope the author learned about adverserial noise and instead started implementing that, explaining the new subtle watermarks. Maybe the watermarks can also serve as a type of poison pill if used. Either way i doubt its effectiveness.

Also, I'm kind of not sure, whether it will be/was Minoru or someone else. Oh well, let's wait and see

I had wondered about Akane's past chapters ago, and then forgot about it until now, thank you for the reminder. Pg 8 seems a bit ominous, maybe its me, but I get the feeling there's a double meaning in minoru's words to Akane. "I'm totally gonna make you fall for me!" could be read as; I'm going to make you fall in love with me(consensually), I'm going to make you fall in love with me(manipulation, nonconsensually). We all know now that Akane is a well known curse expert, so well known that a god(Ookami-sama) wanted Akane to work for her(Theory: Minoru is the reason Akane became proficient in curses, so she could reverse the effects of the curse(s) cast). I wonder if Minoru bit off more than he could chew, and used or tried to use curses to manipulate Akane into marrying him. If so, his life could have been the price he paid for using the curse.

They are indeed barely visible so it's fine to leave it IMO, though as you've already surmised, they're as pointless as tits on a turtle...
