I looked up foods that are poisonous to foxes. It's not as bad as I feared but it's not great.Man, she can't even eat human food? The backlash of the curse is quite serious indeed.

The manga also established (back in chap 12) that onions are hard for foxes to eat so she's presumably choking on those. It can cause vomiting, enteritis, and low red blood cell count.
