Kouske is literally a god, was given free rein by all the other gods to act however he wishes, and hell, however many hundreds of minor gods now owe their literal existence to him. The only thing stopping him from turning Kouhi and Mitsuki loose is that he isn't that sort of person.

And all these nobodies keep thinking "Yeah, I'll pick a fight with a god. What could go wrong?"

He's a living TRUE God there is a limit to how much you can try downgrade yourself.
It will only bring more trouble if he always runs away from the truth.

Actually now that I think about it he ALWAYS runs away from everything.
Runs away when women try to get close to him, runs away when he needs to present himself publicly, runs away from the fact he is becoming a god, it's always run run run with him.

It's the usual for when people read pirated stuff and are removed from the natural course of things and emotions the Japanese usually go through: wait painfully for a few weeks for their favourite manga/manga in serialised mangazine to be released.

The Internet really spoiled a lot of people: I want something and I want it riiiight now!

Then when the mangaka has to take extended leave of absence due to injuring their hands after rushing the job for their fanbase: (surprised pikachu face) "oh no pls take care what's going to happen to my manga" lul. apparently everyone else can have work life balance but not mangaka and animators.

1st time seeing imposter syndrome/people running away from responsibilities in real life or something? it's actually more believable than youngsters who died but have insane organisational/management skills you only see in scholars or geniuses. both are enjoyable however.
