Dude, remember this is fictional. It can even be a parasyte that can mind control you without drinking the waterThe water problem sounds simple enough, just boil before drinking or use alcohol.
I think people do that, more so in those times, but those insects are made by alchemical magic and even if only a few people boil the water, I think he made them resilient enough to take some heat. The water problem sounds simple enough, just boil before drinking or use alcohol.
As far as I can tell, Ozuno is his master. So that mean Ozuno has the same thinking way as his master, I don't expect that! pls don't join the dark side Ozuno
At the least, we know of (maybe) four different future Ozuno's.So... it is the future Ozuno, I don't think he is the "direct" future of Ozuno but I don't know how this story interprets the concept of time, kinda disappointed that he is an "alternate future self"... but at the same time I have seen those done horribly and this is clearly on the magnificently done category... and we already saw a "future self" in this story and it was fun XD.
Oh fuck, I completely forgot that the past shenanigans with future Miyo included Ozuno and Zen in some and that with their encounter with En-no-Ko and her "sacred treasure" they got a glimpse of the future and during the whole incense debacle too, and that in both of them, the future described was aligned more with "our" story which would mean they already are an "alternate story".At the least, we know of (maybe) four different future Ozuno's.
1. The Ozuno which Miyo travels with in the future.
2. The Ozuno from Miyo's dream of an alternate future - which admittedly was only ever a potential.
3. The Ozuno who is destined to seal away Koto in a fit of frustration, according to wikipedia, as cited by that guy who wished for eternal summer. Could be the same as 1 but we don't know.
4. And the sennin Ozuno, who I'll just call sensei.
I think that indicates that the timeline isn't static. We may be dealing with a Many Worlds Theory interpretation of time.
Also, just a thought, it may be that sensei's desire to turn the present Ozuno into a sennin was rooted in a belief that, once Ozuno becomes a sennin like himself and loses his attachment to humanity, he would be willing to help sensei save Koto. That's why Koto's message to Zen is important. She doesn't want to see humanity sacrificed just to save herself. She wants Ozuno to remember his kindness and compassion.
That also leaves us to wonder why Ozuno is apparently destined to seal her away in frustration. His frustration might not be with her - maybe he was just trying to keep her alive in some form. She may also do something to piss him off - her leaving him behind was pretty cold. Maybe she wants him to hate her so that he'll let go, and after she dies, he won't spend the rest of his life pining for her. Who can say. At the very least, while future Miyo said that Ozuno would never find love, she didn't say it in a way that seemed heavy or tragic. But it's been a minute since I read the earlier chapters.
I could speculate about this all day. Very excited to see where this story is headed.
Masterception.So... Master is Master's Master, right?
The one takeaway I have from all this is that things are definitely not set in stone, we’ve already seen how this work uses the time travel interpretation that implies a split in the timeline (so if Ozuno killed himself sensei wouldn’t disappear as far as I can tell) as opposed to a fate set in stone time travel like in dark where you essentially know you won’t die when you see a future version of yourself. At least I think that’s the direction they’re taking. At the least, we know of (maybe) four different future Ozuno's.
