You know, did this really need to be an isekai? There are probably more subtle ways of getting a mentally mature FMC.
But then they would not have a convenient all in one excuse to have a gender-bent loli MC who is ready to die for her orphanage and still... "survive" the trauma of trench warfare.
:salute:
Sure you can get that in other ways...
But there is nothing as convention as reincarnation / isekai in terms of setup plot shenanigans.
:nyoron:
other then magic ofc...
Magic is just legally cheating when writing a story.

wait where can you see the 3 mana potions?
Page 28 on the desk behind Touri, on the second small panel of the left you can see three used ampoules.

Remember that she just worked her ass off and due to the Heal number of uses limit, all medics drink them like crazy as we saw Gale before, specially when they are overworked which happens often

Kinda, in a way the effect being less severe is somewhat insidious. As a medic sometimes has to down them one after the other to keep up with healing the euphoric effect builds up and makes them addicted to the potions physically and mentally.
(Drinking several of them comes with pretty severe health issues in the long run as well if I remember the novel correctly.)

Page 28 has a picture of the background in one of the top left panels, there's three empty test tubes. In the pages afterwards Touri drinks the potion from a small test tube, and that's how you're supposed to make the connection back to the other small tubes on top of the boxes.

The thing is, the FMC used to be an MMC. And avid FPS player at that. Although by this point, I dunno how to differ them as a girl or girl-faced boy and if it matters.

Also, the isekai is when they supports through magic (Healing or Defense). Other than that, it's the usual warzone.

Uh yeah they could just be normal fantasy story lol, the isekai part would imply something from the previous world is carried over to the new world, whether it was the idea, items, people, or even just mere fleeting emotion, there was nothing carried over in this case. The same with genderbender, if you've never seen the previous form and the character just started as the new gender, there is no reason for it to be gender bender.

The reason this is isekai is simple, the author wanted the main character to describe things by comparing it to the world that we all know in order to cut the amount of explanations it would need when you described something from scratch.

If they are already using child soldiers, i'm sure we can make like 11 more soldiers with her, being pregnant probably won't prevent her from being a medic.

You can get magic just by having a normal character in a normal fantasy world. Early 20th century + magic is hardly unheard of as a setting, it’s not like isekai is a requirement for fantasy elements, it’s just a lame justification. I imagine the FPS pro element will come in once Touri gets promoted and can use some of her game-sense to help control the battlefield, which would be almost as silly as becoming an excellent soldier because she was good with mouse-and-keyboard. Best we can hope for is the modern propensity to innovation causing her to use magic in a unique way.

But you could just make her a non-isekai’d character who grew up reading lots of books, or who grew up with a wise teacher, or from a tribe with unusual perspectives. All would be more organic ways to set up this sort of character. The only thing that IRL knowledge is required for is recreating future tech like transistors or nuclear bombs. Which is a shitty trope that gets old fast, and I hate that it’s the closest thing we have to engineering fiction.
