Never rely on mainstream news. Check multiple source. Its okay (and unavoidable) to listen to biased source, but also seek out sources biased the other way. And you can find independent neutral sources if you look.

Before clicking into the forums (front-page comments), the TL wrote, "Raws are getting worse and worse." on this chapter. I don't know if they are complaining about the art quality from the artist, or if they are only finding lower-quality RAWs.

I checked multiple RAW sites and didn't detect a quality difference.

For me, I already hopped onto AI translations with Torii Image Translator / Ichigo Mangareader extension as a fallback. It basically does translations and typesetting automatically for pages with good enough accuracy to understand what's going on.

Of course, I always check for actual translations to compare. Next raw chapter: https://rawkuma.net/manga/ts-eiseihei-san-no-senjou-nikki/chapter-22.1.364720 (and then hop onto official raws for latest which is linked from the front page of the series in the sidebar)
