Honestly I like this one better than Youjou Senki, youjou was good but it’s kinda turned into the author just throwing diatribes in the manga. This is way more grounded, and FPS skills don’t mean shit, the best they could bring is improved hand eye coordination, but bro was reborn. I can see why people call it torture porn , it’s not, it’s war… shit sucks for everyone especially small children.

Can't believe this is the first manga im commenting on but i think its really funny how many people are comparing the obviously anti war manga this is to the "war is badass" other isekai.

Realistically this didn't need to be an isekai at all and would probably have been stronger without it. Also the manga may or may not be the author's barely disguised fetishes. It's not a particularly good manga, but comparisons to youjo senki are nonsensical since it's clearly not attempting to send the same messages.

Finished the WN it's a damn masterpiece. What surprised me the most is the manga story felt like the finished draft unlike the LN which felt still feel x# draft but not finished and added some some scene from the future.

The first and second arc is probably, when the writer still doing it for dropping that for the sake of his fetish here and there, unlike in arc 3 and above. (Based on his interview)

I loved it, I am glad the writer could hold his fetish and change a lot of his plot point to made the story better and approachable to the public. Especially in arc 4 (I love it so much and I am glad it doesn't turn into another trash TS story)

Can't wait 20+ year for peak arc to be adapted which is arc 4,5,6,8,and 10(final) to be adapted

I'm gonna sound pretentious, but I don't get why people don't like this. Like legitimately good storytelling like this centers around good world building, interesting and well written characters, and an strong plot. I get why a lot of people like isekai, but there are very few that I think are actually good because most don't treat their characters like people. They treat them like plot devices or objects for the main character to use. Touri is a good character because she changes in real tangible ways. Compared to a generic isekai protagonist, they get stronger so in that regard they change, but ultimately their goals, motivations and ideologies are pretty static. They don't really feel like actual people to me, just blank husks for people to project themselves into. Don't read this if you're looking for another power fantasy. This has just kinda turned into a rant about isekai more broadly but I always tend to like stuff that treats their characters like actual people. They react to things like a normal person would. They have complex emotions. They have complex relationships that extend past "I love this protagonist so I'm gonna devote myself to them and love unconditionally."

A guerra em youjo senki e uma mistura das taticas napoleônicas da primeira guerra com a tecnologia da segunda guerra.O que é completamente diferente da premissa dessa guerra, já que ela se passa em na "1⁰ guerra mundial", utilizando ainda as essas taticas e armamentos.O que eu elogio é a premissa do autor que,diferente de youjo senki,onde simplesmente a descobriram.a magia desse manga sempre existiu,apenas sendo adaptada ao novo estilo de guerra recente.

I genuinely think this series is really good. Isekai and genderbenders dont need a reason for being implemented, either. People keep posting that.

Its like...guys. genderbenders and isekais can be many thinga. And they dont need some grand storyline or reasoning to be made part of the story. Sometimes things just happen...even in stories. lol
