Despite my prejudice (for y'know, the entire concept) it's been pretty light hearted, fun, and interesting, which definitely makes it less serious. And I can bear the cringe/edginess.

Sooo yeah I like it so far (in a way it's a really fluffy romance story if you inhale dangerous amounts of copium & ignore literally all expectations and the entire mc perspective. Which is fun so far, until the... inevitable)

Like many other people, I REALLY hope there is a big subversion/the mc doesn't get what they want. Though this is pretty funny regardless, and I really am not getting my hopes up at all (I see no real signs yet of this not just being the average power fantasy)

I think what makes this work so tolerable for even NTR haters, is the fact we saw the goofy ass faces the MC made in his prior life. Like everyone else, I do hope there's some big subversion and the MC is the one that gets NTR'd somehow. I think the 2 childhood friends going yaoi, or the lesbian girl getting another girl or getting with one of the childhood friends and the remaining one goes off somewhere else would be hilarious.
