so why was there a need for the ice pillar to begin with. and how did Luce know the attack would destroy the pillar. and the ice girl made the perfect platform at the correct position. dunno, i expected something else to finish the fight, instead of this kind of finish. but i guess with that, we have finished the battle.
The initial plan was to run up the pillar for more momentum to kill the boss as it was hurt. Plan failed as it was a trap, ojou shouted loudly to warn Luce, she jumped out and ojou made floating ice platform.

Bait. She didn't. No, pay attention to her hand movement the panel before it was shown Luce was on it....she moved it to Luce, which is why the "trust me" and "fly (jump)" flashback came in.

Luce's "Acrobatic Steps" is a wall walking ability. Boss flew up in the air, and the other walls weren't close enough for Luce to launch an attack from. Ice pillar gave her a "wall" to walk on that got her close enough to launch an attack. Pillar Break: Everyone saw the incoming attack. Ice girl waited for Luce to jump, then made a platform based on the jump's trajectory.

I got used to this story using bloated numbers on the purchase value of items that 2000 XP sounds a tad too little for the difficulty they just faced. Then again, I forgot how much XP they usually get.
Prev dreamlord gave 4x as much xp and it was also split 4 ways.

I'm guessing that this was technically a lesser dreamlord and hence gave less xp. (Of course, xp rules might be a lot more complicated than that.)

So this chapter is about multiple clutch plays (ice platform, then shadow).
Elma aside, Snow pulling it off for Luce first time on first encounter with what essentially a group of randos is a sign of skill.

Reminds me of being in boss fights/raids in the position of Luce and getting crushed because I was told to go for it with a support that never came, or being in the position of Snow then slipping up and causing a wipe. :ROFLMAO:

Yup, Elma commented on this after seeing Luce on the ice platform. Snow is about as clever as he is and considering she doesn't have the player knowledge that he has, she even more so.

Cool finish, kind of a lopsided party composition but they pulled it out.

If Ice Oujo had a healing ability this would be a pretty strong part damage wise.
eh honestly healing would only hinder them, since his attack strength is proportional to his health lost.
Unless healing him DOESN'T lessen the effect, in which case healing him makes him even stronger

Indeed, that’s a good way to show character capability without making other characters look stupid/do stupid things or by doing the lazy work of showing big numbers.
