This manga has some serious dialogue flow. It's so damn random, especially the beginning where she talks about the drink.

Honestly speaking, I think the poor girl's been overworked without any kind of support in her private life and the cracks are starting to show. Since she's unable to frame interactions without applying a business model to them, it's likely that she's been at her job for a while now and she has not been able to take vacations or socialize with anyone outside of business hours. That she reverts to a child-like state as she gets more stressed could mean that she had parents who either actually cared and provided for her or only paid attention to her if she ever started crying or otherwise showing overt signs of stress.

The plushies are a touchstone for her...maybe a coping mechanism from her time in school? Idk, but if it wasn't for our MC-kun over here, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she was like half a year away from snapping in public and bawling like a baby. She's been holding a lot inside her and she's not able to express those feelings properly because they don't fit what she uses to frame her interactions.

Why Dasani? The raws have no mention of Dasani anywhere, the brand is literally called Tokyo water.

It also seems that the TL isn't used to conversational Japanese and implied subjects (TL tends to bias towards the speaker as subject) , which leads to some of the conversation flows feeling a bit awkward as well as a few inaccuracies.

@CBC Her more childlike behavior under stress sounds more like former abuse or neglect in younger years, which maybe is why she resonated with what seemed like just a lone plush in a crane game. At least, coming from my experiences, I was definitely immature for my age during a lot of my adolescent life, and I could see something like that bleeding into adulthood for someone like her. I like the way this manga interprets the disparity of her work and home personalities in a more negative light, since I feel like I usually see this duality done for "moe" kind of appeal.

On a side note, talking to the plushies reminded me a bit of Hanako Ikezawa's route from Katawa Shoujo, as she has a couple of dolls given to her by a friend with the idea in mind that she could "talk to them" to help express her feelings despite her extreme anxiety. Her entire development also falls somewhere within the vague concept of "circumstances slowing maturity."

no friends no hobby no interesses. she has money but nothing she really wants to spend it on. till now. she literally hired a house husband. she is starved for intimacy. she is also is down talking herself. because she literally hired someone to interact with her. in her mind. she thinks he would leave her the moment she cant pay or he done enough for his pay.
