It's seems Makoto is super pure conservative. Sorry Mio, Tomoe there is a order to things. Like confession near gym, being shy for very long about everything, holding hands in 12 episode... And then, there is never a second season...

I don't think he is. He's just super awkward about those things, has very low self-esteem and using those values as an excuse to avoid pursuing romance of any kind.

Him turning down beautiful women who honestly loved and respected him (back on Earth) and he had feelings enough for them that he felt guilty about doing so is the one main reason I feel sorry for any of the girls who develop feelings for him.

The sad truth of the matter is he has an unjustified fear of being loved and he uses modern conservative Japanese views which quite a bit don't even follow as a shield to not pursue.

I wouldn't have read 104 chapters of this if it was a critical detail for me. Besides, why do you assume I'm not reading other isekai with more progress? I'm reading a whole lot of isekai and non-isekai fantasy. Many have more romantic progress than this, some have even less, lacking any potential partness. This has the ladies expressing interest in the MC, but the MC is not interested. That's hardly uncommon in manga (or the novel originals) in Japan. Harem without any conclusion is super traditional in manga.

What I am saying is that it's pointless for the author to write scenes that desperately try to explain the lack of romance after more than a hundred chapters. There shouldn't have been any readers with high expectations anymore, at this point, so everyone making it this far would have accepted the situation already.

From my perspective: Materialization is a state that maintains its form without external influence. If you cast water magic, it requires a constant supply of magic; otherwise, it will vanish into thin air.
