Later, her fellow gods will visit her and Makoto(separately), and they are known gods from our world(Daikokuten(Shiva), Susano'o and Athena). Makoto is just above the shitty goddess at this point, he even gives Athena a hard time in a spar(even if she is not using her best equipment, she is still a goddess of warfare; even Makoto almost made her to take out her best equipment).

The appearance of a Greek goddess among the Japanese ones though make some people think the shitty goddess might also be from Greek, particularly Aphrodite. But her infatuation with Japan might means she is from Japan(this world landmass is basically in the shape of Japan and all of the transmigrators are Japanese); I can only find Kisshōten as being the goddess of beauty from Japan.

If you look at nature, the vast majority of creatures have sex for the sake of procreation. The extreme minority have sex for fun.
For the sake of procreation, having a lasting bond makes it more likely children will be protected and raised, thus increasing survivorship through the extremely vulnerable period of infancy. Thus there's no point in sex if you aren't planning to raise kids together.
Marriage is a social construct and not needed, but its effectively like an agreement to be together in order to raise kids. Because, honestly, if you're going to be married and not have kids, there wasnt that much you got out of getting married that you wouldnt get from just living together in common law.

Since the manga is not making it clear, the thing holding Makoto back is that both he and Tomoe view each other as siblings (Remember Makoto had sisters). It takes a while for them to change that mindset.

I actually feel sorry for the heroines cause all their efforts, evem when directly explained to the dense fuck's face, will be disregarded.
