In defense of the anime, after Tomoe and Mio, the next big fight for Makoto to close the first season on is the fight with Sophia. They only had 12 episodes to work with. What is the next big, epic climax in the story? That is the Rotsgard Academy climax with accompanying coming together of plot lines with other characters. That is the best end of the season. That is what they need to get to in 2 cours, or 25 episodes. This story is dense, so it means some parts will have to be excised or streamlined to meet that deadline.

Rushed to me would be the same length to adapt in just 12 episodes.

The sword Shiki summons is actually called Ascalon. I know Japanese doesn’t give you good indication of L’s and R’s so it’s an easy mistake especially if you didn’t know it has roots in real world myths. It was Saint George’s sword and he used it to kill a dragon which is why it’s a dragon slayer. Anyway thanks for the translation, I hope to see the next chapter soon

People get upset about two things main with translating.

Poor quality translating - means another better translator will likely not bother retranslating.

Sniping - uploading a translation before another group.

I have not been reading comments on Mangadex, as I mainly upload here so that it gets to [REDACTED]. First of all, it was mentioned in the credit page that chapter 105 isn't on Mangadex. Not my fault if you can't read.
Secondly, it doesn't take 5 months for someone to upload a chapter consisting of 25 pages, wonder how it's a snipe(but didn't know what sniping was mb).
Thirdly, I did NOT read the previous English translation. Except that, someone who was helping me proofread said to use asora instead of subspace/ demiplane (real pronunciation is aku, not asora, it was a past TL's mistake), I was in a debate about what to use with that person. That's why I mentioned all meanings in the sidenote. But i might indeed have been lazy during the redrawing work. This one should be better.
Fourthly, someone said my uploads were low quality?
1) Dragon Egg Tensei was low quality? Man thats pure slander. Go read that or go to the comment section. Not a SINGLE complain, except a typing error. The one with the bad quality was someone named CCC who uploaded the ch44.
2) most fearsome couple? Honestly, that could have been a snipe, but they paywalled chapter 7 when the raws of ch 8 and 9 were available. Got into work with whatever little skills I had. At least my one-time release made Asmodeus scan release the next 2 chapters for free.
3) reincoli? I mean I got commissioned for that one, but still uploaded abt 2 weeks later the raw release. But yes, didnt have premium fonts, and there were grammar mistakes.

and lastly, i am mainly fluent in Mandarin, and my main series is [ Boundless worlds Gatekeeper], started it to catch up to 10 untranslated chapters. If you go check my first translated chapter and recent ones, there's miles difference. And for Japanese, it's on a surface level. I get stuck cause of furigana annotations and kanji.

Also, dono beggars? Really? I translated like 18 chapters. Around 90 hrs of work. After paying for the editor app and platform fees, I'm left with 22 USD. 90 hrs for 20 bucks? i believe even begging in some third-world country would get me more money. This is not about the money? No one is forcing you to tip. But there's no need to be an asshole??? Can't understand people. They should try redrawing and typesetting for once.

CCC_CCC had good quality except chapter 44 which they felt forced to rush upload because of your sniping. Don't act like your releases were above their other ones.

Yeah you could call it sniping. I was still new to the translation community, honestly, never used to check comments and just kept reading. Didnt even know what sniping was and why it was bad. BUT They were doing MTL, but still, somehow, there were 6 untranslated chapters (43.1-45.2).

They were slowly but consistently catching up to the raws. Don't try to twist the truth. Also just because they use MTL doesn't make their work worse than yours automatically.

Just to be clear I don't think what you did here was sniping but don't try to justify your actions for your other releases. They were all sniping. Don't try to twist it or sugar coat it.

Why would someone read the credits page for a chapter where there are missing chapter between it and the last released one. Don't act like others are at fault when you skip stuff for no reason.

Lotteries

The first is a term Makoto himself isn't familiar with, and lotteries is a concept he explicitly exclaimed that Eris isn't supposed to be aware of such a thing. There's also odd phrasings that Eris has used in the past such as waifus.

Eris' "intuition" makes her spew things that are oddly relevant to the topic at hand, event if she and people around her don't have any idea of what she is talking about (but the reader does, which is what makes it funny, imo)
