That was only a black bear. If it was a brown bear, things would be even worse.
By conventional logic, yeah. And in that case they should be even more glad it wasn't a polar bear.
But pretty sure these animals are just OP because Makoto thinks they're strong in our world, and thus his dimension makes them ultra OP. Same reason the wolf acts all noble. So a brown bear being stronger would rely entirely on Makoto knowing that black bears are shy and comparatively weak compared to other bear types, and I don't really expect him to have that knowledge.

So what he imagines in the realm comes to be?
Asora is created based off his knowledge of Earth (Limited to nature, nothing man-made), he doesn't consciously decide anything. Some things are wrong compared to Earth, like the placement of constellations likely due to Makoto not having detailed knowledge of them. And as the other guys said, it expands in size as his power grows (contracts with new followers, doing his mental training).

Also seems a lot of people are misunderstanding, but the fauna is not strong because Makoto thinks they should be (if that were the case then it's strange that flora attacks too). It's simply the influence of his overwhelming power, Asora has way more mana than Earth and the new world (Hence why fruit grown there gives buffs to hyuman's). Regarding Makoto saying not to mess with wolves, it was explicitly stated in novel that it's because of Shinto beliefs (they respect and worship wolves), also probably doesn't like the idea of them going extinct like in Japan.

Lightning is somewhat a special magic element, not many hyuman in this world can use it. Only 1 appear in the story and we won't meet her anytime soon

She's an apostle of the goddess, and die at the end of battle with Makoto
I thought of her when other comments referred to Makoto's "range." His most brutal kill IMO, shot to death from half a country away.

The way I think it works is that since Makoto's perception of Wolves and Bears are that they are really powerful compared to him on Earth, the ones that get created in this realm are super buffed. No way they're actually stronger than Makoto or even his retainers though, but the "normal" denizens would have no shot.

Thanks for the new chapter!

Been a while since I saw Makoto going on the offensive in some way.
And thanks for another chapter with lots of Emma screentime, really is one of the best waifus of this series and her being voiced by Hayami Saori in the anime just adds up to her waifu prowess 🥰

If I read correctly, makoto only use homing brid at 3rd wave so 1st and 2nd wave didn't even try to avoid his "normal" brid ,right ? as they didn't expect any attack to reach them at high attitude so they never bothers with fly formation to avoid or confusing attacker and solely relied on their air superiority ?

I wonder how they gonna improve in near future. the smokescreen is nice idea tho. could help with their ascent (as it's hard to hit them and when they're out of the smoke, they're already high up) and combine smoke screen with various formation, could make it as pseudo cover to hit and run style too.

It seems like some cuts to the last 10-15 chapters really could have been made to make the pace less lethargic. Being a monthly series and getting bogged down in tangents leaves the pacing in a bad spot.

Man those guys sucked. I can't believe they didnt have some kind of sniper spell:facepalm:

That bit about lightning is interesting. I wonder whats up with that?

Thanks for the chapter
Makoto did describe why they were weak pretty well. They had an advantage that allowed them to go without developing their skills. I wasjust surprised how mad he got.

Finally someone said this. I've always wanted to said this, but I suck at writing lol.

Also to add, the average of humans from the earth is stronger than the average of this another world due to we are apparently living in a "harsher environment" such as higher gravity pull, no magic, denser atmosphere, no blessing could reach etc. The same can also be applied to flora and fauna, that's why when someone wanted to try to plant the seeds in this another world it drain all the magic and nutrients in the surrounding(because it survived to live in a much harsher environment that this world is much easier in comparison).

Rather than Asora being 'harsh', their plants are just used to having way too abundant mana and nutrients, not harsh, which is why it sucks the life out of any goddess world land it gets planted on.

They're already doing farming on safe plants that are still chock full of mana and nutrients.
Only a specific section of the forest are dangerous, to everyone else but Makoto and his three followers.

Wow. Talk about attacking from a safe distance.

I'm talking about the real world, Asora is obviously not "harsh" since another world citizen could live on it easily, but also you probably right, been a while since I read the novel.
