He's as far from a "beta" (later on anyhow) as it gets. He's going to be neither physically nor mentally weak. On the contrary
he becomes something of a monster who can kill people in brutal ways with a bored expression on his face.

You have a rather sad idea that not prioritizing sex makes one a "beta." I think people that put sex on a pedestal like that are the most beta of all. Sex is great, but no huge deal. I have no choice but to assume virginity for such people. Sex just isn't that big a deal to those who actually have sex.

That aside,
he has decided to finally fuck Tomoe and Mio, but then a war got in the way.
Probably if the author picks up the series, he'll be doing so next chapter or so. And yet that's really not that important in terms of him developing as a man etc.

On the other hand you have Tomoki
who has slept with countless women, and yet he's hardly a man at all. He's as pathetic as they come.

Yeap, best boi
@bk3k
I agree with everything you have said. Makoto is just going to get better and better after "those events"
@KajurN
It's more because he treats the two of them as family members rather than women. But later he already did consider one of them...

The expression of the mc is changing in each chapter. Mc is reaching his limit. The adaptation did a great job. I want to read the novel now, even though I have too many to catch up...~

@Arvadiel Well, I wanted in the past, but the comments on NU said that it becomes boring in the future. So I don't really know~

This chapter feels like it skipped a lot of details. I would read the comments for clarification, but I don't really want all of the spoilers, so I guess I'll just have to deal with it. The main things that were confusing was the Adonou and Mondo fight and the trees.

So we know that Adonou was working with the demons to try and find Makoto (although Adonou isn't aware that Makoto is the strange power from the desert that the demons are looking for). And we know that Mondo has a power that isn't fully explained. Was the Lich mondo's power or was it something different? Also why did he randomly kill Adonou? If it was about the relationship with the demons, how did he find out about it? Was he "wiretapping" the conversation just like Mio was or did he find out some other way? It seems pretty strange that he would randomly kill the village elders son for no reason so what started the argument and how did he find out the information?

Not to mention that it seems like a big waste to kill of a character a chapter after he was introduced without much interaction with the main character other than a quick introduction. (well that's common in a thriller/murder mystery manga, but not common in an adventure manga)

Also the trees? The forest ogres stated they were the guardians of the forest and that "elves" didn't want to protect the forest, but the Forest is just a bunch of people who were transformed into trees? Was it a punishment or did the voluntarily become trees? Is this like Suisei no Gargantia where people split off at evolution and ogres evolved into trees and now the current ogres protect them to prevent them from harm or are they just wardens at an oversized prison. Also if no one knows how to reverse the tree process, then how are they aware that people who are transformed into trees are still aware of their surroundings and feel pain? That seems to be information that only a person who had been transformed into a tree then changed back would be able to share. Since they don't have the ability to change people back they shouldn't be able to share that information.

Plus does that mean that Mondo's power is to change people into trees and that is what he tried to use on Makoto? If so then that makes the lich all the more confusing. If it wasn't Mondo's power that summoned the lich then why did they start the argument with Anodou in the first place. Was Mondo trying to turn him into a tree when he grabbed his neck? Seems like a pretty ruthless group and I completely understand why Makoto wouldn't want such unstable people in his village.

So many questions and so few details. This chapter feels very rushed. Oh well.

ok, mc is not a beta male, why do people say he is a beta male? because he is not fucking main girls and killing everything but then when that happens most people will give the manga a low score because they are beta them self.

The rings are too unstable, only the MC has ever been able to use them for something that didn't immediately release all their energy, the magma pool @WhimsiCat is talking about wouldn't cool back down, since the ring maintained the temperature. Other than that, the rings were turned into weapons.

@Kisato Worse than that
The armor has a terrible fuel efficiency, but it's calculated that it would take all the mana in the world, to create a real, solid, permanently existing, copper coin with magic, and he makes a pair of gloves for that Stand.

@Majin101 it isn't like a coma, the tree is you, and the whole thing is an exposed nerve, the victims feel "Everything" that happens, but can't do anything about it, until they go insane. That's what they mean by losing their senses.

@degenerateafro for the tree pain thing, based on page 20 it sounds like those are legends passed down from when the tribe was still able to talk with plants and spirits. It's not something anyone is able to verify anymore.

@degenerateafro as the Lich stated in the chapter, he knows the person Adonou was in talks with, and didn't want her getting involved with the ogres.
When the Ogres gave up on spiritualism, they moved out to the wasteland, and with their Tree Form punishment they made their own forest, but I think they were originally able to talk to trees too, they gave that shit up after hearing all the screaming trees.
I think it was made clearer later, that the Lich was experimenting on Mondou, and that brought back the Tree power.

Why does the dispel not work? Is it not a magical effect? Do they eventually find a way to save those people, or does the story not mention it again?
