@Knighto true dat, I like to call it Selective understanding.
@Clad95150 not only did I read the chapter, but I also don't go blaming the kid for not thinking straight, Makoto has had half of his hand chopped off before he could even understand he is on a battlefield. he isn't really pressed about explaining his circumstances to someone who just cut his hand in half and he really is just trying to run away to use a gate to go back to Asora.
not to mention he hasn't been physically speaking with ANY Hyuman for a hot minute and has become used to monologuing in his own head.
Sofia doesn't give a rats ass what this thing has to say because it could all be a trick or something of the goddess'.
what she knows is a being bathed in the Goddess' Golden light appears out of nowhere and was able to shrug off a hit from a level 900~ adventurer with only losing his hand, this hit would have done serious damage or outright killed even the other heroes at this point in the story, so she is understandably cautious of Makoto. then once he takes his rings off after they broke the goddess' interference it just reinforces Sofia's and lancer's decisions to take him out. they can tell he doesn't have much fighting experience and just has a huge amount of defense and magic power.
to them, he is a chick with the power of a dragon. so regardless of his stance on the Goddess or the war, just to make sure he doesn't grow into his power, gain more experience, and point his sword at them in the future they decide it's safer to take him out now and completely ignore anything he has to say.
hell that's the whole point to his interactions with the other kingdoms, later on, Makoto, and by extension the Kuzunoha company, are so powerful that each kingdom takes different actions against them. some may leave them alone, some may antagonize them, and some may try to ally with them, some may watch in the background to see His next move.
and if waiting for more info presses you then I advise you to read the novel I have posted several times where this takes place in the novel give it a read see if you enjoy it a bit more, if you don't care to know what happens next, why wail about it? move one, find something you like more that gives you chapters at a pace you enjoy.
@traveling_chef It also removed the other blessings that the goddess gave the heroes, which was why the loser hero got so terrified of dying, now that he wasn't invincible at night anymore, and his charming eye wasn't working anymore.
@TUSF yes but the power she gave to Makoto is a bit different then the blessings she gave to the other heroes and what's more it's been proven that Makoto is somewhat immune to status based magicks and arias due to his absolutely ridiculous amount of Magic Power
I still don't really understand the power dynamics of this manga. The MC's level is like three times that of Sophia. Even with his mana suppressed he should be unbelievably stronger than her.
Plus, why think of all the things you want to say instead of actually saying them? What's the point of the author even putting in the thought bubbles at that point?
If that ain't an assumption, I don't know what is. The MC is a cowardly little herb bitch boy who has the memory capacity of a goldfish. He's so strong that he gives off the aura of an army of demon lords, but he's a complete pussy when it comes to combat.
Thanks to the dumb cunt of an adventurer that stole from him and got Tomoe's familiar, he hates humans. But there is some good news:
He's actually an inhuman monster. "Makoto" is just the vessel that the monster resides in. He becomes a ruthless killer of humans who dare to even inconvenience him, and that's what you wanted from him, right?
Damn... this is one of those moments you wish you somehow skipped noticing the chapter and eventually noticed you had 3 or 4 chapters saved up at once...
FINALLY it'll be time to do some shit next chapter
@Panma I guess a lot of it was him just assuming they wouldn't listen, and furthermore couldn't understand his language til the dragon happened to understand him thinking aloud, but you're right, he could've been writing some shit out either way, or tried talking. Anyways I agree absolutely hated that shit, the fact he didn't finally protest for multiple chapters.
@panma his clothes and his rings suppres his power to absurds level, so also adding that he got attacked by surprise he got his fingers chop then when he started to attack in this chapter he went defense move 'cause he was still not sure WTH was happening and why he was being attack (add feeling a strong pain for getting his finger cut)... so what you just saw was
the strongest adventurer and a dragon going toe to toe against negative base power makoto... so now you will see some power dynamics to a hopefully stupid degree.
