well this finally broke me and made me go read the novel and ...heavy spoilers below:

holy fuck..., the next chapter should be full battle (ch 76 of the novel)and it should end before Makoto's last attack, now in ch 77 makoto took out all of his rings and set them up to explode before retreating to the fog dimension, they are forming a loop of power like a chain reaction forming a spear of light, it freezes everything and then turns it into dust avenger style, in the end the whole battlefield was destroyed and only a lake of water was left, the short dude and the girl survived but are completely defeated without a single item for defense or offense, and the dude is missing a leg, the battlefield is completely cleansed of life, of thousand of monsters and humans fighting only 10 or so survived, and the fucking rumors about makoto are making me laugh so hard, a direct quote:

About a person wearing red garments, the third envoy of the Goddess. It is said that he possesses a tall figure and peerless beauty and his age is that of a young one.

@Sweet_Seats I didn't say it changed your point, I pointed it out because 1. you were incorrect. and 2. the pain of having your hand broken during a fight and having you hand half cut off during a fight are two different things and greatly change how well one is capable of thinking during said fight.

I'm not disagreeing with you, as I think sofia and lancer should just croak and be done with it, but

Worst of all is that even once the misunderstanding is cleared up, they refused to admit they misunderstood anything in the first place and persist with their misunderstanding to save their own face. after a pretty intense fight she uses a special ability to deposit Makoto way high into the sky to let him fall to his death. given enough time to think(due to the falling), Makoto uses one of his rings and supercharges it with a water brid spell arrow and fires it at the two on the ground. not realizing the rings don't just add power to spells but increasing their power exponentially, instead of firing in his words "something that will bother them a little" he more or less hits them with enough magic power to completely warp the environment, annihilates a good portion of both the hyuman and demon armies surrounding limia, creates a lake filled to the brim with mana and a weird force that just make those around the lake unwilling to fight anymore. and Makoto without realizing it becomes known to both armies as "The Devil"

Sophia's story

her and lancer survive this fight but later come back to fight Makoto and gets her ass beat but he leaves her for Root to deal with and Root takes all the dragons she absorbed, makes them comeback as eggs, removes sofia's memories and dumps her on Makoto's front lawn(so to speak) to allow her to "atone"
