I started reading this because I was curious how a life jacket could malfunction. Like, they're just pieces of styrofoam that you wear. There's nothing mechanical, is there? But this IDIOT of a main character is using what seems to be some sort of "instant release" life jacket, which apparently can. He might as well have not been wearing one, at that level of bullsh*tery.

I have many things to say about how anyone on a boat should use an actual, standard life jacket, but I don't care enough to go over basic boating safety under a manga.

There is no "Takk-san". She's saying takusan (= "a lot") and stressing it ("a looooooooot").

Combined with the last panel of the previous page, she's saying that adventurers make a loooot of dishes with the fish they catch and then they eat them.

Rather than the idea that "fishing with a rod is a dead culture" for no reason,
I prefer they just put some absurd reasons like
"there was a cruel tyrannical king whose hair got caught by a random fisherman, and since then he made a law that fishing is prohibited from now on, so the fishing culture died after a few decades"
