Elf girl who’s already 160 years old. Even though she’s still nowhere near Frieren’s age, her obsession with gems in this chapter was absolutely hilarious :dogkek:

O . o ...

Ok....
I realize this is just a running gag, but can someone tell me why there would be a ring in the actual flesh of a fish. Could see it being in the stomach like seen in sharks, but by my possibility flawed understanding, such an object would normally kill a fish long before the flesh grew around it...

They only removed the gall bladder and ate the stomach and other organs. So, she found the ring in the stomach or intestines.

Besides the insanity that entrails... she is eating off a plate... and the chunk of fish she just forked was laying flat in her dish...

If you want a slightly forced saying, MAYBE that fish eat/swallow the ring that someone dropped, because there was no explanation that fish is another man eater fish.

Guess this confirms he is isekai-ed to middle earth, soon he will meet a wizard and together they will go fellowship of the fishy ring.

Maybe the author is referencing one of the few myths related to fish swallowing a ring only to turn up later in some miraculous/cursed fashion. Polycrates in Greek myth, King Solomon of Abrahamic myth, or Saint Kentigern of Scotland to name a few.

It's an interesting question; would you guys eat the meat of an animal that's eaten other humans?

I think I'd be fine with it, and I would probably even taken an element of satisfaction knowing that we're doing the same thing to the animal that it had done to others.
Though maybe I'd be more critical of the taste? Like I could taste the flavor of humans it'd eaten in its flesh? Gross... :pout:
