I realize this is just a running gag, but can someone tell me why there would be a ring in the actual flesh of a fish. Could see it being in the stomach like seen in sharks, but by my possibility flawed understanding, such an object would normally kill a fish long before the flesh grew around it...

If you want a slightly forced saying, MAYBE that fish eat/swallow the ring that someone dropped, because there was no explanation that fish is another man eater fish.O . o ...
