Before you panic, remember the title of the series. The wording itself implies he has a vague awareness of their similarities, so it only makes sense that he'd start developing that awareness within the first volume. At least if we take it somewhat literally.
It's a bit too early to be crying axe. But supporting the author in any way you can always helps.

Anyway, super cute chapter once again. It would've been pretty funny if he got both versions of her the same gift.
