Are you ideologically committed to reading this the wrong way or what? Ueno and Moka are committed to exploring their kink together until they're both satisfied or they give up. Ueno's into femdom, not Chisaki-specifically-dom. He also recognizes that his kinks are intrinsically malleable.

Hadn't really considered the three bullies' dynamic's shift if Ueno were to be replaced, but you're absolutely right, the odds of history repeating itself are basically nil. Short-term I see them staying together because the odds of stumbling upon another Ueno M are so vanishingly small. Or if there's going to be sexual bullying, it's going to be an exclusively Chisaki endeavor with the other two having zero interest now.

Though I do think it's a little too hopeful on the Ueno/Mako front to be misery porn, and even Chisaki's too deep in denial to be sad about it per se.

On one hand this is probably the best outcome for them. The relationship they had was pretty toxic and it'd take a lot of conversations and therapy to sort out their feelings properly. It's for the best interest that Chisaki lets him go and he works solely on his relationship with Moka.

On the other hand....... that's so damn boring!

The whole premise of the manga was that Ueno gets off on being bullied and that the three girls all have different flavors of dominating him. Then it shifted to a bit of drama which was still fun to see. Now though? It's a sort of sappy ending with everyone agreeing to be better people and finding happiness, which honestly was not why I picked this manga up.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them...... but ugh...... so much wasted potential.

I thought of a way for the story to continue, though I'll admit to not being too familiar with the full details of everything so it might be impossible: 😶‍🌫️

Ueno is moving out of his apartment that has Chisaki's on it's right. But his new apartment hasn't been detailed. So, in a repeat of the gag from the first chapters, he runs into the trio entering the apartment on his apartment's left: Tsubomi's.
The next story arc would be Ueno & Moka's attempts at a relationship. Yet, as comments have been pointing out, that's quite boring and uninteresting. This would be the theme in-universe. At the same time Tsubomi, who is Ueno's neighbor and rather proactive with hanging out (as seen in the previous chapter with Moka), is consistently interacting with Ueno.
This culminates in the question Ueno poses to himself: "What is this feeling when hanging out with Tsubomi that he doesn't feel when hanging out with Moka?" It's an archetypal realization that everyone probably has seen done in other stories.

Spoiler: Kumanishi Bijutsubu Rafusuke-senpai

This is a point that comes up regarding being drawn.

There's the next story arc. And it's open-ended enough that the author could continue from there. Most importantly, the best girl is now main girl. 😊

Something I forgot about until I saw a comment mention: Tsubomi is a virgin. Ueno is too, if I'm not mistaken. It seems odd that that would be introduced but not used at all outside of some superficial gags. 🧐

It COULD be a open door, as long as we keep getting new chapters it could always happen but the way things have gone lately makes me believe this is pretty final as far as Ueno and Chisaki's relationship.
