Geez, some of you guys here are pathetic. It wasn't an MTL, as far as I can tell, and the current group doesn't have the ability to outpace the weekly release, only being able to release 2 chapters a month, so I find this to be a natural consequence considering this one is currently one of the most awaited ongoing series so far, in the most awaited arc no less. I understand there's a need for established norms among translators, but at the same time sniping usually doesnt happen in a vacuum, such as this case. Call the guy out for sniping if you wish, but throwing down insults will only get you nowhere.

Well, maybe I was just saying all of that since I'm an Indonesian and the Indonesian translator had caught up so I didn't feel like missing out on anything, but there also has been someone on facebook uploading english translation for recent chapters for like 2 months now? I don't know the exact numbers but what I'm saying is, there are already multiple english translators working on this series. Crying over this is a bit funny imo.

If you're going to snipe please consider the feelings of those who are reading those same translations; they might not appreciate being spoiled with a fifty-chapter skip all of a sudden. It is a great chapter sure but I really wanted to experience the intended narrative flow.

nah i just translate in my free time to improve my skills. i have like 15 chapters of cingray translated collecting dust in my folder. i just liked the chapter is all. i know i'm far off from being perfect but i still at least try

If I were you then translate from the last chapter that was left off from here, because readers hate when a snipe skips over like 20+ chapters

I'm not sure why everyone assumes it's a waste of MY time in particular. It's never a waste of time doing things you find fun. I actually really enjoy the process of translating and cleaning, so it was time well spent for me. If that makes you mad, I hope you find something to read that brings you peace instead. Thank you for translating the chapter for us to read. I felt frustrated that English readers were so far behind and I wanted to experience this arc alongside the rest of the Uma Musume community. I'm not sure what's going on with translator politics, but I say ignore them and do what you find enjoyable! The only people suffering from the purposeful withholding of English translated chapters were the fans.

Tbh with the speed the main group doing, the manga probably will get licensed to English publisher next year or something because uma musume is getting popular. Then the main group probably will drop it in order to support the official release. Then you need to wait for more years for official release to catch up and finish.

this sniping honor system has gotta be the stupidest thing i've seen. we're engaging in outright piracy. there's no moral high ground to be taken in all parties involved. no honor among thieves.

sure publishers and media companies are greedy as hell but that's another topic altogether.

i get it, redrawing, scanlating, all that shit takes effort and time. but at some point, when a media franchise like umamusume explodes in popularity and there still isn't any new chapters out for months, you're literally asking to be sniped. i've followed plenty of scanlated manga since they were oneshots, and in all my years of following manga, i've very very rarely seen any team that took as long to release chapters in an insanely popular ip as y'all did.
