Whoever wrote that this story is sort of about a disabled girl coming to terms with her new life a bunch of chapters back was kinda cooking. Her speech about her body being ugly because it's covered in runes and scars seem analogous to patients who survived medical treatments.

Also random kung fu backstory about fighting a jiangshi is exactly my sense of humor
