What were those weird pronouns for?
"Why don't ask the person directly what they want" "They said they don't need anything in particular", they WHO? It was clearly stated that she was asking Oscar, what's the point of making everything confusing with a nonsensical plural form?

Machine translations, non-existent QC; problem may vary.

Oh dang they really rushed through this part, but thats okay since its not too important.

Anywho from what I remember of the novel for this portion, Oscar's birthday is coming up and since its an important event there will be people coming from all over.

One of those people is that one prince from last arc who has a crush on Tinasha.

When Tinasha mentions how she'll go investigate, Oscar is elated and encourages her to go so that when the prince comes to the kingdom, Tinasha wont be present to meet him lmao

The Kraken is a lot more trouble than portrayed here, turns out it was actually summoned to these waters since krakens are native to much farther oceans.

It was summoned by the pirates, but they got decimated so the kraken was basically left there.

It's body is a lot more hardy, so Tinasha comes up with a plan to basically reverse summon it back to its home.

Tinasha also gets her leg injured, she tries to hide it but Oscar being Oscar notices it immediately.

Now about this little Nisle excursion...

If im remembering correctly,

KISS INCOMING

Asks that with such a serious face.

"they said"
We're talking about Oscar here, right?

"That's perverted."
Not really, and also true. But it doesn't need to go that far. Just give him a date.

Was hoping there was something he couldn't do.

Shortcut storytelling. Well, some things can be more or less skipped.

Her reaction is a little different from everyone else seeing the kraken. For good reason.

Beach date time.

Yeah, this was different from the novel, but we'll see how that matters.

Hi, while it's not a "machine translation", many of the parts were proofread with AI since neither the translator is a native English speaking person, nor we have many proofreaders. Besides the point, thank you for pointing that out. We'll note it down for future chapters.

It always surprises me when people act as if the singular they hasn't been in use since the word itself has been around.

it's true everyone should know about singular "they", but, given the context here, it was really weird to see a "they" pop out of nowhere when it was clear who was behind the pronoun

I legit thought she was gonna sleep with him for his birthday with that outfit.
Until I realised it's a swimsuit.

Singular "they" has some limited uses, which is definitely not replace the gendered pronoun when the gender is clear.
There was a reason it fell out of custom, and especially in this case you have a gendered pronoun first referring to Oscar and then the singular theys.
While I can navigate throught he meaning by context it doesn't remove the fact that it made the translation confusing.
