She went to the hospital because she collapsed for no reason. It's likely they would have noticed the bruises, or other damages she received from the rape, such as the trauma to her genitals which is extremely common or the other signs. Hell, they most definitely would have noticed she was cutting herself.

Pretty sure most hospitals will do various physical assessments when someone collapses for no reason to figure out the cause, such as malnutrition or other factors. Hell, they'd check to see if she had a concussion or broken bones from the fall onto concrete and probably could see the evidence from the rape.

Think your shit through, author. (Also, if someone just collapses unconscious for no reason, don't just run in and pick up the body. Assess to see if there are any other dangerous elements first and call 911)
